Our operations at Le Ciel Ministry are fully funded through private sponsorships and we refrain from accepting donations. Nevertheless, you have the option to contribute to or sponsor a project of an organization that we endorse. It's important to note that while numerous organizations claim non-profit status, some may still operate for profit. When we choose to support another non-profit entity, we meticulously vet their financial records to guarantee that funds are allocated solely for the welfare of children. If our criteria are met, we initiate sponsorship . We can only receive donations on a per-project basis; any smaller contributions can be made directly to their respective bank accounts, details of which are provided below. Should you wish to sponsor a project through us, please reach out to us prior. The minimum funding required for a project is around 700 Euro or 650 Swiss Francs. For instance, a small project could involve providing school uniforms and footwear for all children in an organization. Buddha Nagar School, with approximately 100 children, and Tri-Netra, with roughly 20 children, are examples of such organizations. We can discuss the specifics further once you get in touch with us. Buddha Nagar Primary School provides a free learning environment for all, especially for children brought to Kathmandu as domestic help in homes and for those who cannot afford the high fees of private institutions. Buddha Nagar Primary School is our first project and we have been working together since 2016. Considering the needs of the students after our visit to the school, we realised that the mental health of the students is very important along with education, so we developed a programme that is educational, talent-developing and entertaining, which helps to improve mental health. We focused on student presentation by providing proper school uniforms along with warm jackets for the winter. Encouraging the children to identify their hidden talents and motivating them to develop their skills through various talents such as poetry, drawing competitions, encouraging programmes such as one-day educational trips to various destinations, picnics, monthly parties with lavish food menus, etc. The result of our efforts has been quite satisfactory as we have seen noticeable changes in the students. Now they are happy to be in school, they are not as shy as before and they are proactive.

The beginning of the Buddha Nagar School
In 1993, Mr. Tandukar, while employed as an executive for an International Hotel company, was also engaged in social services for the development of Buddhanagar, a suburb in Kathmandu. He spearheaded the effort to transform the rudimentary Buddhanagar into the progressive and thriving suburb it is today by improving infrastructure such as road networks, sewerage and drainage systems, water supply and sanitation.During this undertaking, he observed children engaging in play within the filthy mud of nearby playfields and immersing themselves in the contaminated, silt-laden waters of the river throughout the entire day. The daily habits of these children, which formed the basis of his study, caused him considerable concern. Upon investigation, he discovered that Buddhanagar, due to its absence of bridges, was essentially isolated by two rivers - the Bagmati and Rudramati - resulting in limited accessibility, including educational institutions. Moreover, these children belonged to economically disadvantaged or homeless families who depended on daily wage labor for survival. Such families clearly couldn't afford the solitary private school in the vicinity and had no means to reach the public schools either. This prompted Mr. Tandukar to recognize the urgent necessity for a community school catering to these underprivileged children who were deprived of education due to financial constraints and geographical hurdles.

Initially, the ground level of a nearby communal structure was transformed into classrooms, utilizing mats in place of traditional desks and chairs. Galvanized iron roofing sheets served as makeshift blackboards for instruction. Over two decades later, after multiple expansions, the school now accommodates 115 students. These pupils are offspring of day laborers, individuals without permanent homes, and predominantly domestic workers. The school's staff remains committed to delivering fundamental education aimed at fostering student independence and success both nationally and internationally.
